4 Hair types and their textures

According to Wikipedia, the hair is a protein filament that grows from follicles found in the dermis.

The hair is an absolutely important element of the human body. One of its advantages is that it might help to warm up the body.

Hair growth, hair types and textures, and hair care are the most frequent hair interests, but first we must understand the many types of hair and their textures.

HAIR TYPES AND THEIR TEXTURES

Each person has a different type of hair with a unique texture. Hair textures are classified into four categories which are further broken down based on their curl pattern, density, porosity, width, and length.

Type 1:- This type of hair is straight and does not curl. As it is greasy and has an oily scalp , it's the most flexible, sheeniest, and most difficult to damage or curl. It's further divided into:

      1a -> Stick straight.

      1b -> Straight with volume.

      1c -> Straight with visible S-waves at the neck or temple.

Type 2:- This a wavy type of hair that is neither straight nor curly(in between). Unlike the Type-1 hair, it is unlikely to be smooth and neat. This type is subdivided into;

    2a -> Loose, stretchy S-waves.

    2b -> Shorter, more distinct S-waves.

    2c -> Distinct S-waves with some spiral curls.

Type 3:- This type of hair is curly (formed like a 'S' or  'Z'), bulky, and prone to quick frizzing and damage. Proper maintenance is important for this type of hair to be savored. It's split down further as follows:

   3a -> Big, loose spiral curls.

   3b -> Bouncy ringlets.

   3c -> Tight, corkscrew curls.

Type 4:- Since it is typically delicate and has a high density, this type of hair is coiled quite tightly. It has fewer cuticle layers than other types, therefore it shrinks when wet. It's also the hair with the most susceptibility to damage. It is divided into;

  4a -> Tightly coiled S-curls.

  4b -> Tightly coiled, Z pattern curls.

  4c -> Mostly Z-patterned, kinked with less defined curls.

In conclusion, please examine your hair to determine the type of hair you have, as this will assist you in identifying how to maintain it.
